Doitsu Go-Sanke and Kujaku at Momotaro Koi Farm
Momotaro Koi Farm is world famous for producing championship class Gosanke, but some of you may not know that Maeda San (Owner of the Momotaro Koi Farm), also likes to breed some other varieties for "fun"...
Those of you visiting Japan in Autumn 2009 may have a chance to buy Doitsu Go-Sanke and Kujaku 2009 Tosai from Momotaro Koi Farm, usually better known for Go-Sanke, esp. Jumbo Koi.
Customers of Koibito Japan who been with us to Momotaro before know you can sometimes expect the unexpected; Kumonryu; Benigoi; Gin Rin Akamuji, and the list goes on. But why would a world class koi breeder grow outside the mainstay of Go-Sanke for which he is famous? Koibito suspects that it is mainly for fun...but don't misunderstand what we mean by "fun". When we say for "fun", this doesn't mean low quality, not at all. Anything Maeda San does is done with the highest quality in mind from his Noodle Restaurants to Car Restoration, breeding varieties outside of the mainstay of Go-Sanke is no different...
A few pieces of Doitsu Go-Sanke and Kujaku were auctioned off at the October 1st 2009 auction at the farm, but there are very limited stocks available for sale...we will try and get some prices for these items, if our customers let us know they are interested, of course... :-)
